GAUDI – FALL/WINTER 2014

GAUDI – FALL/WINTER 2014

Gutsy, elegant and in line with the latest trends: this is the Gaudì woman for next fall/winter. A style path that winds its way among different moods – New Bon Ton, Vintage Market, Gipsy Military, based on an increasingly more up to date contrast between details, silhouettes and materials. NEW BON TON The most bon ton side of the female soul is contaminated by punk rock inspirations, giving life to super street looks that wink an eye at icon garments of the Nineties. A theme played out on contrasts, where the most classic garments discover the transgression of a mix and match of fabrics and colours: jacquards and textured fabrics, neoprene and faux leather, quilts and laminates, available in a range of colours based on the elegance of the contrast par excellence – black & white – and enlivened by punk ruby, blue and shocking pink shades. The cult garments of the Nineties – leather and biker jackets, super skinny pants with high waistlines, are mixed with the more classic elements of the female wardrobe: elegant two-colour egg coats, flared skirts and soft oversize sweaters. The looks are completed by shiny accessories and details, from precious embroideries to lurex finishes. VINTAGE MARKET The appeal of discovering one-of-a-kind pieces of the Sixties and Seventies while roaming around vintage markets distinguishes the second theme of the GAUDI’ women’s F/W 2014/15 collection. Precious protagonists are the gem details of the embroideries and materials: tricot lapin, mohair knitwear, laminated fabrics and woollen cloths give life to real ‘must haves’ for the colder months. Coats with faux fur details, ponchos and soft printed angora knitwear worn with underskirts. The all-over flower printed pants and the inevitable animalier prints are worn with natural-colour garments, varying from pale pink to asphalt grey, and melange with touches of faded rose. GIPSY MILITARY Super glam allies for the cold are the protagonists of the third mood of the collection. Classic parkas are contaminated by grunge touches – finishes in fur, technical satin and bouclé cloth; the down jackets instead, enhanced by important faux fur collars, feature camouflage prints mixed with flower elements. Fabrics and colours reflect the army DNA of the Collection with colours stretching from military green to bronze and black, declined on hi-tech fabrics mixed with more fluid technical and cotton bouclé fabrics. The look is completed by biker and cargo pants in stretch fabric together with classic knitwear matched with spotted fur or military-print lurex.
