By then, the famed American denim brand had already gone through a revolution &#8211; from being the functional, go-to choice of rodeo riders and those who loved the great outdoors, to that of urbanites driving new thinking in culture and attitude.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7231\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"690\" \/>Wrangler was the definitive denim brand of youth. It\u2019s still the same today, with Wrangler this year marking both its 70th anniversary and history of being progressive, pop and ever relevant to the shifting needs of its fashion fans\u2019 lifestyles. To observe this milestone birthday, for April Wrangler launches its celebrations with a special global collection, new \u2018Wrangler 70 Years\u2019 Kabel font logo and a new advertising campaign. All are inspired by archive finds that reflect both the 1970s\u2019 newfound creativity in denim and its youth culture\u2019s upbeat and optimistic mood &#8211; while tapping into the current strong trend for nostalgia.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7230\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/>Denim comes in authentic stone washes and brighter shades of blue, in a regular tapered fit fit for men and a retro straight fit for women, for whom there are also flares and pin-up shorts. As strong in tops as in denim, the boldy colourful collection also features ringer graphic t-shirts and plays on new variations of Wrangler\u2019s rainbow logo &#8211; the rainbow being the ideal metaphor for the 1970s\u2019 confidence and exuberance. This too features on accessories the likes of caps, bum-bags and backpacks.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7231\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"690\" \/>Capturing this spirit of fun, festivals and long summers, Wrangler further marks its 70th anniversary with a premium collection made in collaboration with the Summer of Love\u2019s seminal artist Peter Max.<br \/>\nThe \u2018Wrangler 70 Years\u2019 advertising campaign &#8211; both in print and via social media &#8211; echoes the collection by bringing to its striking imagery a genuine 1970s fashion editorial feel to it, with the focus on close-up product details and a subtly sexy suggestiveness.
