Positioned south of France and west of Italy, Corsica is the most mountainous island in the Mediterranean. Fusing two cultural identities, French and Italian, Corsica has a rich and complex history that traces back millennia. Geologically formed by a mountain range protruding from the sea, its unspoiled national parks feature dramatic peaks trekked by Corsican goats, the source of the area’s most famous cheeses.<\/p>\n
