Scotch & Soda launches its Fall Winter 2018 collection, taking inspiration from<\/b><\/p>\n
a glamorous journey from evergreen foothills to the snow-capped peak of a 4810-meter-high mountaintop. <\/b><\/p>\n

What ensues is no ordinary climbing adventure. We begin at the lush green hills at the mountain\u2019s base, where the last breaths of summer still linger. There, we are met by our guides for the climb –\u00a0 the world\u2019s most stylish postal team. Along the mountain ascent, we see and feel what they do: fresher temperatures, new textures, and natural wonders \u2013 the landscapes of which are all beautifully patch-worked into the resulting Fall Winter 2018 collection. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe imagined a postal office at the foot of our magical mountain, complete with the world\u2019s most stylish postal team, dressed in \u2018uniforms\u2019 that mash-up classic mountain themes with fresh silhouettes, color, and print. We call it our FW18 Expedition Couture.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

This season, mountaineering-inspired references are translated into style statements for the modern man. The starting point \u2013 The Post Office \u2013 is a knitted micro check two-piece in a rich aubergine hue. Other key pieces help lend a sporting edge, think slouchy hoodies with a preppy twist and t-shirts decorated with stamp-like graphics.<\/p>\n

Traditional Breton stripes get a modern spin, The Train Station, by way of structured knit fabric. A pair of corduroy trousers with all-over Alpine embroideries nods to cooler climates ahead, as does a brushed mohair jacket in a standout tartan check.<\/p>\n
Climbing higher up the mountain \u2013 and further into winter \u2013 brings us to, The Chalet. It\u2019s here that outerwear takes center stage, with a satin padded bomber and expedition anorak cementing themselves as key styles. With Fair Isle intarsia knits and silhouettes reminiscent of retro skiwear, this delivery evokes the feeling of early starts, mountainside.<\/p>\n

The collection\u2019s ends at, The Stargazer Hut, which blends references to a clear night-time sky with attire built for the extremist of altitudes.
